We made a point of taking Tommy’s parents to Aoraki/Mount Cook because, well… how could we not? Ki te tōuhu koe, me he mauka teitei, ko Aoraki anake. If you must bow your head, let it be to the lofty mountain, Aoraki. Even though part of the Hooker Valley Track was closed, it was still absolutely beautiful. That first glimpse of Aoraki still takes your breath away every single time. For our @australiscaravansnz build, we’ve fitted the @bosjockey Unit and Stabiliser Legs. It’s a setup we’d been seeing pop up more and more, now we can see why. There was a bit of a learning curve at first, but after a hands-on run-through from the @bosjockey team (absolute legends), it all clicked. The Jockey Unit makes raising and lowering the front of the van a breeze with a drill, no more winding yourself into a sweat. The Stabiliser Legs are next-level compared to standard wind-down legs. They can lift the caravan to change a tyre, stabilise on uneven ground, and lock everything solid. The different pipe extensions are there for a reason too. For us, travelling in the @australiscaravans and often parking up on corners of the earth that aren’t exactly level… having @bosjockey gear onboard has been epic!! it was windy and absolutely epic!! We took the ute up to Duffers Saddle on the Nevis Road the highest public road pass in New Zealand. It’s raw, rugged high-country terrain up here, and 4WD is recommended. One of the trickiest (and riskiest!) choices in our entire build… the flooring.
