@laketekaponz on two wheels… 🚴♂️✨
We rolled out from the @nzmcainc park and followed the Willow Bay Trail, hugging the edge of @laketekaponz with that unreal turquoise water shimmering beside us the whole way.
From there, we ducked into the Takapō Regional Park, looping through winding forest trails and cruising around exploring the different tracks (maybe more than once… 👀).
Then we hit the Lagoon Trail… and everything changed. The landscape opens right up into this wide, exposed terrain that almost feels desert-like. It’s wild how quickly the scenery shifts out here, one minute you’re riding through forest, the next it feels like a completely different part of Aotearoa.
Just us.
And honestly… these rides are just made for our @sinchbikes Effortless cruising, plenty of power when you need it, and the freedom to explore a bit further without thinking twice.
@laketekaponz you’ve done it again 💙

We’ve been loving our @cobbgrill.nz Gas+ for the past couple of months now… So happy with it!
The versatility is next level, we’ve cooked everything on it. Pizzas, stir fries, full brekkies, two chooks at a time, even a spag bol. It’s one of those bits of gear that just keeps surprising you with what it can do.
It also looks the part super sleek and compact, and fits perfectly into our slide-out on the @australiscaravansnz ideal for vanlife where space is everything. It ways just 4.5kg!!
What really sets it apart though is how much you can do with it. With interchangeable accessories like the wok, frying pan, griddle, roast rack, you can grill, fry, roast, bake, steam and even boil pretty much your entire kitchen, but outside.
It’s quick to set up, runs off gas, and is designed to handle the elements, even cooking well in windy conditions.
Compact, portable, and seriously capable, this thing has earned its place in our van 🚐🔥

Whilst visiting @kaikouranz we had to do the Kaikōura Peninsula Walkway, as always… a special place.
This stunning coastal track wraps around the peninsula with incredible views of the Pacific Ocean, rugged cliffs and the dramatic Kaikōura Ranges rising behind you. It’s about 11km in total, but you can easily walk shorter sections and still experience the magic. The folks absolutely loved it, and we found ourselves stopping constantly just to soak it all in.
One of the highlights is seeing the kekeno / New Zealand fur seals that call this coastline home. You’ll often spot them lounging on the rocks or swimming just offshore, which is pretty incredible to witness in the wild.
But it’s really important to keep your distance (at least 20 metres). Unfortunately we saw a few people getting far too close just for a photo. Whether you’re visiting or lucky enough to live here, these are still wild animals, and respecting their space helps protect them and keeps everyone safe.
A beautiful walk and a reminder of just how special Kaikōura really is.
