Watching her here in Aotearoa New Zealand, embracing it all, the landscapes, the people, the pace of life, has meant more to me than I can put into words. Every step she’s taken, every new experience she’s welcomed, every moment she’s stood in awe… it’s something I’ll carry with me forever. We are so incredibly proud of her. Of her curiosity. Sink into the perfectly heated water, look up through the canopy, and everything slows down. What makes it even more special is how simple and personal it is. Kōtuku White Heron aboard a scenic cruise on Lake Māpourika with @franzjoseftours 🤍 Our second time aboard and it won’t be our last. The water like glass, reflections of the Southern Alps stretching out in front of you, and the quiet feeling of being somewhere truly ancient. One of the things we love most about this cruise is how small and personal it is. Just a handful of people aboard means there’s space to take it all in properly, to drift, to notice things you’d otherwise miss. We felt lucky to have Dale as our skipper and guide again. His knowledge of the area, the wildlife, and the stories of this place adds so much depth to the experience. You can tell how much he genuinely cares about sharing it. And of course… we couldn’t resist jumping in at the end.. We were so chuffed when Cam followed right behind us, straight in without hesitation.
